This collection is a compiled list of Hungarians, and others in Hungary, who were wounded, killed, or went missing during World War II. It includes military personnel, civilians, and victims of the Holocaust, as well as those who died as a result of war-related injuries or actions, or were later declared dead after going missing during the period. Records typically include the name of the casualty, date and place of birth, residence place, date, place, and details of death. Records may also include the casualty’s religion and occupation, along with the names of their parents, spouse and other family members.
